FAQs on Joining the Association
How can I participate in existing working groups (AGs)?
Get involved in various working groups (AGs) that focus on topics like diversity, inclusion, family-friendly filming, diversity quotas, etc. You can find the individual AGs above. Each one has its own email address that you can contact.
How can I start my own working group?
Until now, members have initiated a new working group if a topic is not yet covered and have pushed forward their own projects. To do this, simply write to our assistant (post@proquote-film.de), and an appointment will be arranged with at least one board member. If everything works out, we will provide you with the infrastructure and network for your working group.
How can I organize an event?
Simply contact us via post@proquote-film.de. You will get a contact person on the board and, if you wish, you can organize your event independently. Additionally, we can connect you with helping hands.
What kind of events could I organize?
Members have organized events such as meet-ups, New Feminist Generation brunch, legal advice workshops, camera panels, etc. You can do whatever you feel like!
Can I do something on social media as well?
Do you have an idea for a social media video series? Get in touch with our press office, tell us about your proposal, and help make ProQuote more visible on social media.
Can I also help out a little without a big commitment?
Of course! We are always in need of helping hands for specific actions. This way, you don’t have to commit long-term and can help us whenever you have time. Support us at one of our current events, workshops, panel discussions, or conferences at film festivals. Get in touch at post@proquote-film.de.
I am interested in research and studies.
Examine existing studies on topics such as statistics, working conditions, and the representation of FLINTAQ in the film industry. Analyze relevant data to provide well-founded information for our work and the further development of equality initiatives. You will also find great topics for your bachelor’s/master’s thesis here.
I would like to be a contact person for a network.
Support us in establishing significant partnerships and collaborations with other organizations (e.g., Queer Media Society, Black Filmmakers) and filmmakers by acting as a contact person on behalf of ProQuote Film.
How can I join the advisory board?
Are you highly experienced in the film industry and in gender and diversity issues? Then join the PQF advisory board and advise us on political statements. Please send a message to post@proquote-film.de.
How can I join the board?
The board of ProQuote Film consists of a dynamic team that drives the agenda for an equal, inclusive, and transparent film industry. This is not only about administration but also about actively networking with experts, political influence, and constantly forging new ideas. Engaging in dialogue with political spokespersons, organizing events, writing statements, or expanding our visibility, arguments, and goals – there is space in the board for each person and their strengths to develop.
Every second Wednesday, the board meets for regular sessions, where current topics are addressed, requests are processed, and events are planned. Various topics are supported by designated contact persons to ensure that the work remains efficient and focused. And the best part? The board is elected every two years – the next election will take place in November 2026.
