Svenja Heinrichs

I am a writer, director, and producer from Mainz.

I was born there in 1991 and grew up there before moving to Berlin after completing my studies in social sciences. I studied film directing at the Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF Film University and have been working as a freelance director and writer ever since.
In my projects, I focus on overcoming fears, depicting interpersonal conflicts, emancipation, and the development of the social being in an antisocial society.
In 2024, I received production funding from the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg for my next short film, “when saints turn machine,” which will be filmed in spring 2025.

Uli Decker

I am a director, writer, lecturer, and sometimes cinematographer.

My feature film “ANIMA – The Clothes of My Father” (2022) was awarded the Bavarian Film Award and the Max Ophüls Prize. At ProQuote Film, I advocate for feminist perspectives and serve as a contact person for the podcast.

Annette Ernst

I studied theater, film, and TV sciences in Frankfurt and Paris and hosted the weather segment on Hessian Broadcasting’s TV.

After attending the Screenplay Workshop Munich, I made my feature film debut with “kiss & run,” which won the Adolf Grimme Award. Together with friends, I founded STOKED FILM and have since produced more than 15 award-winning television and documentary films. These include “Mein erster Freund, Mutter und Ich,” “Deutsch-Les Landes” (an international streaming series on Amazon/Magenta TV), and the 2022 documentary film “Mutter, Mutter, Kind – let’s do this differently,” which covers 12 years.

In 2014, I co-founded Pro Quote Regie with colleagues.

Gabi Rudolph

As a trained actress, I switched from the stage to behind the scenes in 2006 and founded my first agency for actors.

Since 2011, I have been running the agency Marmulla & Rudolph together with Michaela Marmulla. I am also the publisher and editor-in-chief of the online magazine FastForward Magazine, for which I have been reporting annually from the Berlinale since 2016. As a working mother of two children, I am particularly passionate about the topic of family-friendly work environments. Additionally, I am interested in the portrayal of women and relationships in the media and look forward to incorporating these themes into my board work.

Paula Essam

I am a presenter, actress, and writer.

I initially studied politics in France and Korea before completing an acting training in Cologne. Since 2023, I have been writing for film and television, while also appearing in front of the camera and working as a presenter. At ProQuote Film, I advocate for diversity, have conceived many events, and serve as a contact person for the film series, Berlinale, and website.

Michaela Marmulla

I am an acting agent and have been running the agency “Marmulla & Rudolph”. together with Gabi Rudolph since 2011.

As a woman with a disability and a trained DE&I consultant, I am passionate about advocating for inclusion and cultural participation. At ProQuote Film, I work towards greater inclusion in film, both in front of and behind the camera.

Eva Maria Sommersberg

I am an actress, screenwriter, director, and producer.

I was born in 1986 in Bonn and studied at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. After graduating in 2009, I worked freelance, including at the Volksbühne Berlin, the Wiener Festwochen, the Dortmund Theater, and the Burgtheater Vienna. From 2011 to 2015, I was a member of the ensemble at the State Theater Kassel, where I played, among other roles, Irina in Chekhov’s “Three Sisters,” the title role in Schiller’s “The Maid of Orleans,” and Kleist’s “Penthesilea.” In 2013, I guest-starred at the Salzburg Festival as Helena in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and received the Newcomer Award from the Fördergesellschaft Kassel.

Since 2015, I have been living and working as a freelancer in Berlin. I have performed several times in Athens at the National Theater and the Onassis Cultural Foundation, and I write for both theater and film. In 2019, my feminist play “Eines Morgens in aller Frühe lag der Feind in meinem Bett” won the Audience Award at the Nibelungen Festival in Worms. In 2020, I co-founded the production company “Drei Schwestern Produktionen” with Agnes Mann and Alina Rank, producing the series “Wodkavariationen,” for which I also wrote the screenplay, directed, and played “Irina,” the youngest of the three sisters, in front of the camera.

In 2022, I completed training as a screenwriter for film and TV at the Masterschool Drehbuch in Berlin. I am on the board of ProQuote Film and am committed to gender equality and parity in the cultural sector.

Katrin Gebbe

Katrin Gebbe is a screenwriter and director from Hamburg.

She is the lead director of the internationally Emmy-awarded Netflix series The Empress. Previously, she directed the psychological horror drama PELIKANBLUT, her second feature film with Nina Hoss, which premiered in Venice. Among other awards, it won the Méliès d’Or for Best European Fantastic Film at Sitges and “Best Direction” at Fantastic Fest (Austin, USA). Gebbe’s controversial debut TORE TANZT, also based on her own screenplay, premiered in Cannes (Un Certain Regard) and won, among others, the German Film Critics’ Prize and the Bavarian Film Award. Most recently, Gebbe directed her first English-language project in the UK with the series A THOUSAND BLOWS (S2).

Sarah Palarczyk

Sarah Palarczyk is a film and theater actress, voice artist, and singer.

She has been performing professionally on stage and in front of the camera since 2009. From 2016 to 2020, she studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg. With the First Steps Award-winning feature film Schattenstunde (2021), she was nominated several times as Best Newcomer Actress. She is drawn to complex, dark characters and has a special affinity for antiheroes, the fallen, and rebels.

Also: an angry feminist; she fights against gender discrimination, abuse of power, and the misogynistic backlash. In addition to acting, she writes her own plays and songs. She speaks German, English, French, and basic Polish.

Steffi Niederzoll

Steffi Niederzoll is a director, writer, and artist.

She studied at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and at EICTV in Cuba. Her debut film Seven Winters in Tehran (2023) premiered at the Berlinale and was showcased at numerous festivals worldwide. The film has received multiple awards, including the German Film Award.

Irene von Alberti

Irene von Alberti is a director and producer based in Berlin.

As a co-founder of Filmgalerie 451, she provides a platform for artistic films that are bold and unconventional in both form and content. At a time when talk about the death of cinema is unrelenting, Irene von Alberti’s films demonstrate that cinema can still be a dialogue partner and challenge us to engage with our world. DIE GESCHÜTZTEN MÄNNER, her latest film, which is currently in post-production, will undoubtedly renew this call.

Birgit Guðjónsdóttir

Birgit Guðjónsdóttir grew up in Iceland, Norway, Germany, and Austria.

After studying photography in Vienna, she worked as a camera assistant on international film and television productions. Since 1992, she has been working as a director of photography / cinematographer. She is a member of the German Film Academy as well as the European Film Academy (EFA). She is a co-founder of Cinematographinnen and lives in Berlin.

Teresa Grosser

Born in 1983, the self-taught artist has been working as a costume designer for theater, film, and television since 2010.

After graduating from high school in Stuttgart and completing an internship in costume design at the local theater, her career goal became clear. This was followed by positions at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin and the Schauspielhaus Bochum. In addition to countless theater productions, she has designed costumes for numerous feature films, including Andreas Goldstein’s Adam and Evelyn (2018), Adolfo J. Kolmerer’s Abikalypse (2019), Carolina Hellsgård’s The Flying Classroom (2023), and Kevin Kopacka’s multi-award-winning film Dawn Breaks Behind the Eyes (2021).

Eva Pfaudler

Eva Pfaudler is an experienced media executive with over 25 years of professional experience.

Since 2021, she has headed the film rights exploitation division at Bavaria Media GmbH and was simultaneously appointed Deputy Managing Director. As a mother of three, she is committed to promoting and advancing women in the industry and advocates for a family-friendly work environment.

Julia Walter

Comedy-loving director and screenwriter.

She studied literature and philosophy, followed by feature film directing at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). Julia’s short films have screened at over 150 festivals and have won numerous awards (including the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Award, Blaue Blume Award, Student Award at the Hamptons Film Festival, and the rating “Highly Recommended”). Julia loves to direct and write comedies – preferably with relevance, and above all, colorful, loud, and bold.

Franziska Stünkel

Franziska Stünkel is a film director, screenwriter, and visual artist.

Her films have been shown at over 170 festivals in 19 countries and have received numerous awards. Her feature film NAHSCHUSS (2021/22) is based on the case of Dr. Werner Teske, who was executed in the GDR in 1981. In addition to her work in film, she is dedicated to photography – her series COEXIST is exhibited internationally. She is a member of the German Film Academy and is actively involved in cultural and humanitarian initiatives.

Britta Strampe

Britta Strampe is a producer and co-founder of Bandenfilm.

Birgit Schürmann

Birgit Schürmann is a film and theater actress with many years of stage experience in Leipzig, Hamburg, Berlin, and other cities.

She sang Wagner in her short film Die Warnung and played Marie Juchacz in Der Reichstag. As a keynote speaker and successful podcaster (Rhetoric That Sticks, with over 4 million downloads), she advocates for better visibility of actresses over 35.

Yasmin Saleh

Yasmin Saleh, born on April 27, 1994, is an actress from Hamburg.

Her career began at the age of 6, when she was given the lead role in her first theater production. She was so fascinated by it that she couldn’t stop acting. Several theater and film productions followed. After finishing school, she began training as an actress.

Claudia Rorarius

Born in West Berlin, she began her career as a photographer and published portraits in international magazines.

She studied directing at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and made several award-winning films. After her feature film debut CHI L’HA VISTO, she followed up with TOUCHED, which won awards at Locarno. She is currently working on KEN – THE MOVIE and developing the screenplay for HUMANOID.

Charlotte Rolfes

Charlotte Rolfes is a German director.

She studied directing at ifs Cologne and the Hamburg Media School. Her short films have been screened at international festivals such as Max Ophüls, Clermont-Ferrand, and Cannes. Since 2017, she has been working as a director and advocates for unconventional female characters. In 2023, the ARD series WER WIR SIND was a great success. Her Tatort: Pyramide premiered at the Film Festival Cologne and was broadcast in 2024, with Tatort: Köln – Colonius following in 2025.

Olga Prokot

Olga has been a freelance actress since 2009.

Additionally, she works as a writer, focusing on themes of feminism and societal isolation. Anke Petersen was an advertising film producer for over 19 years before founding JYOTI Film in 2013.

JYOTI Film is a production company that focuses on international documentary and feature film co-productions, short films, and digital projects. Anke is a graduate of Documentary Campus, Biennale College Cinema, and a Green Consultant (IHK). In recent years, Anke has focused on producing impact-driven documentaries and is currently working on several campaigns. She is also the producer of the Young Director Award at Cannes Lions.

Sandra Nedeleff

Sandra Nedeleff is a German actress, screenwriter, and director.

She studied acting in Vienna and Moscow and has appeared on various theater stages as well as in numerous film and TV productions, including Tatort, SOKO Wismar, and Die Rosenheim-Cops. She gained international recognition through The Book Thief (2013). As a director and writer, her short film Auf Wiedersehen Papa (2010) was awarded “particularly valuable.” She lives in Berlin.

Sylvia Mayer

Sylvia Mayer is a German actress, known from series such as Sturm der Liebe, Hubert ohne Staller, and Kroymann.

She played a double leading role in an international 8-part series and appeared in the film Immenhof 2 as well as the Instagram series Iam Josephina. Her own short film TIME is currently on a festival tour. Sylvia often portrays strong yet vulnerable women and speaks German, English, Spanish, and basic French.

Gudrun Lehmann studied piano and composition at the Hamburg University of Music and Culture Management.

Her compositional work is primarily focused on film music and songwriting. In addition to composing music for numerous short films, she has created the film scores for various German and international series and TV formats.

Nina Kronjäger

I am Nina Kronjäger, an actress and producer.

In the 90s, I worked a lot with René Pollesch and since then, I have mostly worked in collectives, with Hangover, Tatjana Turanskyj, and my own performance group SLIDERS. I have been a member of ProQuote since 2011 and am currently active in the “AG Familienfreundliches Drehen” (Family-Friendly Filming Working Group).

Amelie Heiler

I am a trained actress from Munich, originally from the beautiful Swabian region, where I started acting at a very young age.

Felicitas Heck

In 2012, I completed the Sound Studies program with a master’s thesis on the topic “Voice and Gender” at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Prior to that, I studied musicology and completed training as a sound technician.

Anja Gurres

Anja Gurres studied directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg until 2020.



Her debut film Balconies premiered at the Hamburg Film Festival, opened the 28th Baden-Württemberg Film Showcase, and she was awarded “BEST YOUNG DIRECTOR” at the Snowdance Independent Film Festival for it. Since 2023, she has been directing television films for prime time, starting with Der Flensburg-Krimi: Wechselspiele for ARD Degeto.

Maritza Grass

Maritza Grass is a producer and founder of Carousel Film.

She studied cultural and media studies in Berlin as well as film and television production in Babelsberg. Her short and feature films have enjoyed international success. Her feature film debut DIE FEIGE SCHÖNHEIT won the Best Cinematography Award at the International Women’s Film Festival Dortmund+Köln and will be released in cinemas in November 2024. Alongside the producers’ association, she published a guide on balancing family and film.

Renate Gosiewski

Director and graduate of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, where I obtained my directing diploma in 2005.



For over 18 years, I have worked for UFA Serial Drama and have had the opportunity to contribute to many exciting projects during this time. I won the ARD Civis Award for Integration and Cultural Diversity, a topic that is very important to me. Besides my work as a director, I have a deep passion for dance – I am a Biodanza teacher and love sharing this enthusiasm with others. My big dream is to combine my two passions and one day direct an exciting dance film.

Andrea Gerhard

Andrea Gerhard is an actress.

She is known for her role as medical assistant Linn Kemper in the ZDF series “Der Bergdoktor.” She regularly appears on camera in formats such as “Nord bei Nordwest” and “Notruf Hafenkante” and is passionate about telling stories of strong women. Andrea lives in Hamburg.

Ivonne Gärber

She is a sound engineer for various cinema and television projects (feature and documentary films).

She graduated from the DFFB in 1994 with the film “Glück Wünsche.” Since then, she has worked professionally as a sound engineer in various film and television projects (both feature and documentary films). Since 2010, she has also been a lecturer in practical sound work and sound design at FH Darmstadt (among other institutions).

Maren-Kea Freese

She lives in Berlin and works as a film director, screenwriter, and lecturer.



Maren-Kea Freese (born 1960), raised in Hamburg, Curacao, and Cologne, studied film studies, literature, and journalism at FU Berlin (MA), and later film direction/screenwriting (Diploma) at dffb Berlin. She has been making short and documentary films (direction, writing, cinematography, editing), often portraying the lives and survival of women in the big city—depicting those who break free, drift, find themselves, and cross boundaries to create new spaces for themselves.

Her film Der Mensch ist seines Lebens froh – nicht nur als Embryo (1988) won the 1st prize at Feminale/Köln. She also worked as an assistant director in theater and film (with George Tabori, Rosa von Praunheim, Stadttheater Aachen). In 1999, she debuted at the Berlinale with her award-winning feature ZOE, a portrait of an angry girl on the run (received the Regieförderpreis for German Film in Munich).

Her second film, Was ich von ihr weiß premiered in Munich in 2005 and was nominated for several awards. She also created documentary works for TV and radio, including Immer im Verborgenen, which was supported by the Otto-Brenner-Preis/Research Scholarship. Currently, her feature film Wilma oder die Gespenster der Freiheit (2025) is completed, where she is responsible for both writing and directing.

Cordelia Dvorák

Cordelia Dvorák is an author and director of documentary films, video installations, radio plays, and theater pieces with international directing experience.



(Cordelia Dvorák speaks, in addition to German, Spanish, English, Italian, and French). In her work, she has focused primarily on issues of aesthetics and perception, as well as female memory and female historiography in the context of dictatorships and regimes of violence.

Clara Devantié

Clara Devantié is an actress who has been seen in recent years in both film and television, as well as on stage.



In addition, she works as a directing assistant, studies Communication at the UDK, and is actively involved in the art and event collective “Plazebo.”

Stefanie Bock

Stefanie Bock is an actress for film and television, regularly appearing on KiKA and in the show Kikaninchen.

She is also active as a musical performer.

Esther Becker

Esther Becker studied at the Hochschule der Künste Bern and the German Literature Institute Leipzig, and works as a playwright, writer, and screenwriter in Berlin.

Her plays have been awarded multiple times and performed in Germany and Switzerland. In 2021, her debut novel Wie die Gorillas was published by Verbrecher Verlag, and the screenplay of the same name is currently in development.

Pola Beck

Born in 1982 as a true Berliner, she lives and works in Berlin.

From 2005 to 2011, she studied directing at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg. Pola’s feature film debut Am Himmel der Tag (2012) received multiple awards. She then shifted her focus to series work with the successful series Druck. Other notable projects include Das letzte Wort (Netflix), the sci-fi series Tender Hearts (Sky), and the feature film Der Russe ist einer, der Birken liebt.
