The film series “Feminist Time Travel”
When will we finally be there?

What’s happening here?
ProQuote Film presents a new film series distinguished by its innovative approach and thematic depth. The series is titled “Feminist Time Travel – When Will We Finally Arrive?” and includes six carefully curated films each year.
Each year is centered around a specific overarching theme that guides the selection of the films. The series always starts with one of the oldest available films and works chronologically toward more recent productions. Through this, we aim to trace the historical development and evolution of feminist themes in film over the decades, while also highlighting the continuity of feminist issues in discourse.
For each film, discussions with the directors are organized. For older films, the historical context is also explained to provide the audience with a deeper understanding of the societal and cinematic conditions of the time. This encourages intergenerational dialogue and brings people of different age groups together in the cinema.
The film series focuses on German (documentary) films but also integrates perspectives from other countries to promote a global understanding of feminist film art.
What is the goal of the film series?
The goal of this film series is to highlight the history and development of feminist cinema and to recognize the significant contributions of women in the film industry.
Are the events accessible?
ProQuote Film places great importance on accessibility at all events. All screenings and accompanying events are designed to be accessible to people with disabilities. A particular highlight is the panels with sign language interpreters (DGS). To make this possible, ProQuote Film is looking for large, accessible cinemas that can host these screenings and subsequent discussions while accommodating many attendees.
